My daughter who is 5 decided she wanted to try something other than the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique so she went with the Mermaid Package at the Pirates League. It was a very different experience but still a lot of fun. It was immediately loud in true pirate fashion when we arrived so that made her a little nervous, but the crew does a great job with the little ones. When we got there they asked her if she was going to be a good mermaid or a bad mermaid and if she vowed to be a good one she would have to sign her name in the book and then we could continue on.
We then got seated and the magic began. Our stylist was a very fun and kind pirate really taking interest in Addie and what she liked to do. Every now and then the crew would shout of Yo Ho or some other pirate lingo which made the experience a lot of fun. Addie got her makeup done, which looked awesome. The eye makeup was made to look like she had scales like a real mermaid. It was really neat. The hairstyle was a simple twist and then they put in a flower clip. She also got her nails painted. When she finished she spun Addie around and announced there was a new mermaid and everyone cheered!
Next Addie (and us) were taken to a special rooms. The parents are told no pictures here, please. There is a photographer waiting to take your little ones picture for additional purchase. When you go to check out and pay you can see your pictures and have the option of buying them or not.
There is supposed to be a parade that the Pirates and Mermaids participate in, weather permitting but we were not given the option. It did not seem like they were doing that at all that day.
The Pirates League was fun to do! And if you have boys this is a must do! The looks, especially Jake, were awesome!! It was a fun change from the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, but if I had to choose one I would pick the BBB every time for girls! But regardless, my daughter had a great time!
Here are some pictures from our experience.
