There are a lot of kids at Walt Disney World! And kids like to eat. But pleasing kids when it comes to food is not always an easy task. I wouldn’t say that my daughter is necessarily picky, she eats a good amount of healthy food at our house… but she definitely knows at the big age of 5 what she likes and does not like. But I can’t blame her because I don’t like what I don’t like too!
And while I think Walt Disney World does a great job of catering to the kids who have a mild palate sometimes the kids menus can get a little boring. I mean my kid can only eat so many chicken nuggets and slices of pizza before she has had her fill. My family chooses to take part in the Disney Dining Plan most of the time and if there is a childrens menu available we are made to order from it for her. The other problem I have with that is my daughter is more of a grazer than a big sit down meal eater. She always has been. Walt Disney World is no exception to that, especially with all of the yummy snacks around. I mean we snack a lot at the parks, because well I need content for this blog right…..right, that’s how I justify it!
On our last trip to Walt Disney World, my daughter discovered something on the Childrens Menu at Fairfax Fare that caught her eye. She decided to try the Power Pack Lunch on the menu. The Power Pack Lunch is served in a cute little box decorated with characters, what kid wouldn’t be jazzed about that! Then once you open the box, your kids can discover all of the yummy goodies inside! The Power Pack Lunch, which is $5.49, comes with:
- Strawberry Yogurt
- Carrots
- Small Bag of Goldfish Crackers
- String Cheese
- Chocolate Chip Cookie
- And if you are on the Disney Dining Plan you can also choose a drink – Milk, Juice or a Fountain Drink.
It’s amazing! Such a refreshing change for my little lady. She totally loved it. She didn’t finish all of the crackers and only ate half of the cookie, so we put those back in the box and took it with us for her to snack on later.
I have seen the Power Pack Lunches for kids at Walt Disney World popping up all over on property so make sure you keep your eyes open for these cute little boxes! I have also seen reports of something similar being offered up in the resort food courts. Different packaging and some different options of food but the same concept.
Have you or your kiddies tried the Power Pack lunches yet? Let me know in the comments below!
