Welcome to those of you joining me from DISTherapy and those of you just hopping aboard. I am the Final stop on our Magical Blogorail.
I just love celebrating the holiday season and adding Mickey and Minnie into the mix makes it just that much more fun! This year, my family is celebrating Christmas actually at Walt Disney World! We are so super excited! We have decided to take a small Christmas Tree with us and set it up in our resort room once we arrive. We bought a white tree and to decorate it we made homemade Mickey and Minnie Mouse ornaments! It was a lot of fun for my whole family to do and such an easy craft! I think these ornaments would make a great addition to any holiday tree!
What you need to make Mickey and Minnie Ornaments are:
- Christmas Bulbs. I bought a small pack of all red ones at my local WalMart but any size will work.
- Black Sharpie
- Black Craft Foam Sheets
- Hot Glue
- White Buttons
To make the Mickey Mouse Ornaments:
- Select a red bulb. take your sharpie marker and draw a circle around the top third of the ornament. Fill it in with the black marker. You can make a template but I free handed the circle and like how each one was a little different. Next take two small white buttons and hot glue them on the the front of the ornament on the red part. And that is it! Easy Peasy!
To make the Minnie Mouse Ornaments:
- Select a red bulb. Take the black craft foam and cut two small circles for the Minnie ears. I used a small coin and traced the circles then cut them out. Take your hot glue and glue them to the top of the bulb, where Minnie’s ears would naturally be. Then take your ribbon and tie a bow and hot glue it directly on the ornament between the two ears! And that’s it!
These ornaments are a perfect way to include a little bit of Disney into your holidays this year. It is an easy craft that the whole family can get involved in. We can’t wait to display them once we get to Walt Disney World! I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!
